Both Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou have faced each other in the past. The duo met back at UFC 200 in January 2020. With the ferocious knockout power behind him, many fight fans favored Francis Ngannou to take the title. However, Miocic dominated Ngannou for the better part of five rounds to pick up an impressive unanimous decision victory.

Needless to say, not much has changed with both the fighters scaling the heights of the heavyweight division. While Miocic went on the reclaim his heavyweight throne from Daniel Cormier and defended it successfully against the former dual champion, Ngannou set his record straight once again why he is one of the most ferocious fighters in the history of MMA.
Winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou to face Jon Jones?
Since then, he has dropped a unanimous decision loss to Derrick Lewis. However, he raked in back-to-back first-round knockout wins over Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, Junior dos Santos, and recently against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Ngannou deserves a shot at the heavyweight title once again.
Additionally, with the possibility of the winner of the match facing Jon Jones next for the UFC’s heavyweight title, it makes the match-up tad more exciting. While many fights fans are expecting a similar outcome with Miocic dominating Ngannou on the ground, there’s a reason to believe that Ngannou has improved significantly in his last few bouts.
However, there’s no denying Miocic’s prowess in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Arguably the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time, Miocic has cemented his position as an all-time great. However, should he get a win over Ngannou again, and a possible win over Jon Jones will cement him as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.
