Manny Pacquiao speaks about Errol Spence Jr

Manny Pacquiao was set to face Errol Spence Jr on August 21st for the WBC, IBF, and the vacant welterweight ring titles. However, welterweight champion Errol Spence had to withdraw from the fight due to a retinal tear in his eye during a sparring session.

As a result, fans of both boxers were highly disappointed after this announcement due to an unfortunate incident. Hours after Errol’s withdrawal, Manny Pacquiao broke his silence and spoke about Errol Spence Jr’s withdrawal in a short conversation with TMZ Sports.

“I feel okay but you know I’m praying for his fast recovery. The most important thing is the health of individuals and I work hard for this training camp. I train like when I was young and I’m too excited. But good thing is that this is the undercard and it happened that way so my hard work in training is not wasted.”

Yordenis Ugas will replace Errol Spence Jr to take on Manny Pacquiao on 21st August

Following Errol Spence Jr’s withdrawal due to a retinal tear, Yordenis Ugas has agreed to be Errol’s replacement to fight Manny Pacquiao in the main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada. This bout will be for the WBA super world welterweight title.

Former Eight division champion Manny Pacquiao shared his thoughts about this matchup in an interview with TMZ Sports. Manny mentioned that “I still consider it a good fight, a hard fight. I will not be taking this fight lightly. I have to make sure that I’m not overconfident.

Further, Pac-Man denied giving any predictions for the fight and stated that he would do his best. Moreover, he did not rule out a fight with Errol Spence Jr after he recovers in the future. “Yes, I have no problem with that as long as I am physically fit and okay.”

Therefore fans could still expect this dream matchup between Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. However, the Philippine boxer has mentioned that his focus is on his upcoming fight against Ugas. It will be an exciting matchup because Yordenis is a tough opponent and would give Manny a run for his money.

Comment below your thoughts about this matchup between Manny Pacquiao and Yordenis Ugas and who will emerge victorious in this main event?
