Amir Khan returned to the ring after more than two years away from active competition and it was evident that the former champion is not what he used to be inside the ring. Kell Brook put up a dominant performance in a beating inside the Manchester Arena. He stopped Amir Khan in the sixth round to rest their rivalry. The performance was so dominant that Brook landed 151 power punches compared to Amir Khan’s total 154 punches.
In the first round, Khan showed more movement, with Kell Brook coming forward. The Olympic silver medallist landed a left hand. He followed it up with body shots and jabs. Kell Brook landed a great right hand, followed by a vicious uppercut to close the round. Brook also landed a vicious one-two combination, sending Khan on wobbly feet.
The round ended with Amir Khan circling on wobbly legs, in a big win for Kell Brook. Khan landed 8, while Brook landed 15 punches on the unofficial scorecard. In the second round, once again Amir Khan started aggressively, with Kell Brook trying to pick his timings. Khan had some success in the second round. 7-6 power punches landed and 24-18 total punches connected for Brook.

Kell Brook looked much more comfortable in between the rounds and seemed to be enjoying his time fighting his arch-rival Amir Khan. A little more calculated third round with a late onslaught from Kell Brook. There were moments where it looked like Amir Khan was in trouble, but the former Champion looked comfortable walking back to his stool after the bell. It was a right hand from Kell Brook that hurt Amir Khan in the closing moments of the fourth round. 10-5 power punches for Kell Brook.

Brook landed a vicious right hand to kick off the fourth round, sending Amir Khan on backfoot. However, Khan was able to laugh it off. Khan had more success in the fourth round and fought it with the jab. Some late power punches attempts from Brook near the ropes at the closing moments, but Khan was able to evade most of them. Once again, it was a one-two combination by Brook that stunned Amir Khan.
Kell Brook connected a vicious one-two combination once again in the fifth round. He continued the onslaught and charged on Khan with wild punches. Brook connected with a vicious right hand near the ropes, chasing Amir Khan around the ring. Fairly one-sided. Brook walked down Amir Khan, with the former Champion trying to survive the round. 18 power punches from Brook in that round.
The sixth round started with Kell Brook swinging at Amir Khan who welcomed him with a grin. Brook landed several headshots in the sixth round, sending Khan running around the ring once again. After Khan refused to go down, the referee had to intervene and stop the fight. And after 18 years, possibly one of the biggest rivalry of British boxing came to a conclusion.
Kell Brooks stopped Amir Khan in the sixth round inside Manchester Arena and ended the feud once and for all. Both the boxers hugged it out after the fight, seemingly putting an end to the rivalry.
