Former UFC light heavyweight champion and arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time, Jon Jones returns at UFC 285. Jones’ last fight was against Dominick Reyes in 2020. And since then the UFC legend has been training for his much anticipated heavyweight debut.
Jon Jones has gone through an impressive physical transformation for his next fight. He has put on significant muscle mass for his title fight against Ciryl Gane. Reportedly, Jones will weigh around 250 lbs for his first heavyweight bout.
However, UFC fans are not happy with Jones’ physique ahead of his return. In the UFC 285 embedded episode, Jones revealed his heavyweight physique, which shocked a lot of fans.
MMA fans even trolled Jones for his not-so-impressive heavyweight physique with some brutal comments.
Well he's defo not juicing 😂 Imagine he turned up looking like a HW Usman 💉😂

Jon Jones’ heavyweight physique might be a huge problem for him
The former UFC champion will be competing against an elite UFC heavyweight for the first time. Ciryl Gane is arguably the greatest heavyweight striker of all time. And he weighs over 240 lbs.
Besides that Ciryl Gane’s athleticism and movement makes him a nightmare to deal with inside the octagon. But, can Jon Jones perform at his best with his new weight is something MMA fans have been asking for a long time.
Jon Jones is undoubtedly the most complete fighter in UFC right now. However, his last few performances were not impressive, to say the least. He won two close decision wins against Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes.

Jon Jones’ cardio at heavyweight will also be a huge factor in the outcome of UFC 285. Many fans believe Jones’ wrestling will help him win the fight against Ciryl Gane. But, what if Ciryl Gane is stronger than Jones, who is not a natural heavyweight?
The outcome of this fight will majorly depend on how Jon Jones will perform in his first heavyweight fight after a long layoff.
Jones has majorly trained with former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo for his octagon return. However, he created his team after leaving Jackson Wink MMA. Whether this move works in the favor of the former light heavyweight champion is something fans are intrigued to find out.
