Emma Raducanu crashes out of the 2022 French Open.

Emma Raducanu is one of the favorites going into the Wimbledon. The 19-year-old won her maiden grand slam in 2021 when she took home the US Open. Months after her US Open glory, Raducanu has added HSBC to her list of sponsorship deals.

In a video released by HSBC, the teenage sensation candidly talked about the upcoming Wimbledon, an alternate life without tennis, and her favorite grand slam. For Raducanu, no grand slam can match the glory and aura of Wimbledon.

The British tennis star made her grand slam debut in last year’s Wimbledon and the US Open was only the second grand slam tournament of her career. As per her, she wouldn’t have won the US Open without the experience she gained from playing at the Wimbledon.

After her US Open victory, people’s expectation of her has increased by many folds. However, Raducanu doesn’t take it as a burden as she knows there is no hurry. Moreover, she said, “I think it’s a bit unrealistic because perfection just doesn’t exist.”

“After winning (US Open) everyone just expected me to win every single tournament I was ever gonna play again. I think it’s a bit unrealistic because perfection just doesn’t exist.”https://t.co/ImCtcQa7aC#Raducanu | #EmmaRaducanu pic.twitter.com/71gPAwXVBK

Emma Raducanu talks about an alternate career if she was not a tennis player

Raducanu is still young and has many good years of tennis left in her. Even though she is a teenager, she has now chosen tennis as her career. However, when asked about an alternate career, Raducanu was quick to come up with an answer.

The US Open winner has a keen sense of interest in the field of finance. Therefore, she would have done something in finance if she had not become a tennis player. Through her partnership with HSBC, she is working on some ideas related to finance.

Even at such a young age, Raducanu understands the importance of financial education. That is also the reason why she wants to do something to educate the youth about finance. Furthermore, she said, “I’m particularly looking forward to working on initiatives that help young people, such as financial education.”

Raducanu is aware that she has become a role model for young girls out there. She is thrilled to play that role and strives to be the best version of herself. While it is a lot of responsibility, she is up for the challenge.
