The Atlanta Hawks are one loss away from being eliminated from their first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics. After losing back-to-back games on the road to begin the series, the Hawks came up with a win at State Farm Arena, but the Celtics showed what they are made of and replied with a win in the fourth game of the series, making it difficult for the Hawks to stay in the competition.
Even though the Celtics were ahead in the fourth quarter of Game 5, Trae Young‘s final second clutch three-pointer took the game away from them and forced a rematch at State Farm Arena. Despite injury worries this season, the Hawks have made the playoffs.
Trae Young is fit for the Atlanta Hawks vs Boston Celtics game
Trae Young has been an important addition to the Hawks since 2018 and has helped the team reach the playoffs in three of the previous five seasons. Even though the Hawks’ primary guy, Dejounte Murray, was ruled ineligible for the fifth game due to referee abuse, Trae Young came up big and helped them win a critical game for the club.

The Boston Celtics could put the series to bed in Game 6 against the Hawks
Though the Hawks won in the last seconds of the game, all signs point to the Boston Celtics advancing to the eastern conference semi-finals in game 6. With Jayson Tatum averaging 30.1 points and Jaylen Brown averaging 27.0 points this season, there is a good probability that the two will team up again to annihilate the Hawks’ defense.
But with Trae Young’s playoff record being impressive vs Celtics wherein he averages 29.0 points, 10.2 assists, and 3.8 rebounds this season, things look quite interesting in Game 6. Let us know if the Hawks can take round 1 to Game 7 or if Celtics will finish the series in the next game itself.
