Each year, a player will be considered eligible only if he is 19 years of age or older. Players will only be allowed to participate in two drafts, after which they will be considered ineligible. Williams was born on June 26, 2004, which makes him 18 years old. As a result, he will have to wait an entire year before declaring for the Draft. He will be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft, potentially appearing alongside his former AAU teammate Bronny James.
Recently, Mikey Williams committed to the University of Memphis. He had plans to attend historically black colleges and universities, which led to him turning down offers from other schools. Arizona State was one among them.
