The Los Angeles Lakers are playing against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight. The Lakers had a heartbreaking loss to endure in the last game against the New York Knicks. Despite top performances from Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, and the bench, RJ Barrett and Julius Randle proved to be too much for the Lakers to handle.
They might have an easier task at hand tonight, considering the fact that the Pelicans‘ star player Zion Williamson is still on the sidelines. Speaking of injuries, both teams have not had much luck this year. The 17x NBA champs have jumped over plenty of obstacles this season despite the injuries to their key players and are surprisingly the 9th seed right now.
Anthony Davis is probable for the Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans game tonight
Anthony Davis has not had a good time in the last few years. He hasn’t enjoyed a good run of games without suffering an injury. It has been heartbreaking for the player and Lakers fans, mainly because of how he was set to be one of the best players in the league. He was decent for the Lakers earlier this season in LeBron James‘ absence. However, this time around, the Lakers could miss both AD and LeBron.

AD is on the Lakers’ injury report with a right foot stress injury. He was on the sidelines for quite some at the end of 2022 because of the same type of injury. Fortunately for Lakers fans, AD is probable to face his former team tonight.

The Lakers are favored to take the win tonight despite LeBron James’ absence
Even at 38 years old, King James remains one of the best players in the world. He is undoubtedly the standout performer for the Lakers. His absence brought millions of hearts as it meant the Lakers’ playoff hopes could get shattered. The team has done well in his absence, and we can predict the same to be the case tonight as well.

The Lakers won the game 120-102 when they faced off in February 2023. LeBron’s 28 points, AD’s double-double, and a decent scoring performance from D-Lo got the job done for the Lakers. Experts believe that it might be a close one tonight, but the Lakers should come out on top.
