There is less than a month left for one of the biggest trilogies in the combat sports to commence and as a result, the UFC has officially released a breathtaking promo video for the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier trilogy which will take place at UFC 264.

The promo depicted the journey of The Notorious and The Diamond and also showcased a glimpse of their past battles against each other. The UFC revealed this promo just before the main event of Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori 2.

The Poirier vs McGregor 3 is scheduled to take place on 10th July at the T-mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Coming into this fight both the fighters have fought twice against each other and have won one time each. As a result, the winner of this fight will get the bragging rights of this trilogy. In addition to that, the winner of this trilogy will become the number one contender for the UFC lightweight championship against Charles Oliveira.

Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor 3 can end up being the biggest ever event in the UFC history

Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 is one of the most anticipated fights of 2021 because of their gruesome rivalry. Fans across the globe will be excited to watch who comes out on top of this epic trilogy fight. As a result, UFC 264 has the potential to become the biggest ever UFC event in history.

The rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier sold around 1.2 million PPV’s in the United States alone and around 400,000 across the world. UFC 257 featuring the Notorious and the Diamond became the second biggest event in the promotion’s history. But in their rematch, only 2,000 fans were allowed inside the arena due to the pandemic. As a result, the ticket sales for UFC 257 didn’t account for too much. However, 20,800 fans will be in attendance for this trilogy fight. In addition to that, the tickets for this event have already gone “sold out” within seconds, making this event a huge success already.

It’s safe to say that the Conor McGregor Vs Dustin Poirier trilogy can overtake the UFC 229 event headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor and become the biggest ever UFC event.
