Daniil Medvedev is the next big name considered in tennis. The world number 2 player has recently won the US Open which was the first career grand slam for him. He has made his plans clear to play in the Australian Open which will be the first grand slam of the 2022 year. On the other hand, he says that he will not commit himself to do so with only players vaccinated against Covid being allowed to compete.
Earlier news popped out that the players who have not taken vaccination will be allowed to go into 14 days quarantine. But all these rumors were shut down when Daniel Andrew announced that no exceptions will be made. There are still many players who have not given any status whatsoever on the vaccination.
Daniil Medvedev is also among those who have not given any update on the jab but he has assured that he wants to compete next year in Australia.”Look I want to play there,” said Medvedev in a press conference in Paris. What else did he say? Let us know more.

Speaking on Novak Djokovic, he said that he completely agrees with the Serbian about the vaccination status. Recently, Novak Djokovic denied telling his status saying it should be private. “I always said I really like Novak’s answer which is I want to keep my medical, no matter if it is a head or leg injury, private,” said Medvedev
“That is for a reason as tennis is such a brutal sport where you are always one on one with your opponent and any information you give him can go against you. “I decided at one point to keep my medical information private unless it is obvious. “So for example, if you are playing Australia you are clearly vaccinated,” said the US Open winner.
