Kelly Piquet has been in the spotlight for quite a long time. And being the daughter of the Formula 1 champion, Nelson Piquet, and the girlfriend of a champion in the making, Max Verstappen does not really help her situation. However, she has put in day and night’s work to keep her daughter away from the spotlight. It is only natural that celebrities try to keep their lives as private as they can. But the cameras surrounding them at all time does help.
Kelly Piquet dated Daniil Kvyat before her beau, Max Verstappen, and had a daughter with him. However, after splitting from Daniil, she took upon daughter, Penelope Kvyat as a mother. While she is one of the famous wags in Formula 1, she can be seen attending various shows and events.
With all cameras turned on her and her beau, Verstappen, she wants to keep her daughter away from the public eye. Except for being just a daughter to a legend, Piquet has her own beliefs which she voices through various campaigns and masterclass talks.
That had been the case for Verstappen’s girlfriend when she made an appearance to give a masterclass on car safety. Surely, having her life revolve around cars and being in the public eye from a young age has taught the mother of one a lot. So when she came in to give her masterclass, she also sat down to speak about her daughter who is mostly not seen at the paddock.
Kelly Piquet keeps Penelope away from Max Verstappen’s fame
Most of the time when Kelly Piquet makes an appearance at the paddock, she is seen supporting Verstappen. The Brazilian is seen embracing her champion beau every once in a while. However, rumors started circulating when she made no appearances at the races this season. This led people to believe the two called it quits. Nonetheless, Kelly has been very particular about her daughter.
When talking to Kek Mama, Kelly Piquet was asked about Penelope’s whereabouts and the reason she isn’t seen much at the paddock. Piquet answered the question with full honesty. She said, “I haven’t taken P to races yet. She hasn’t asked for one yet and I’d rather keep her away from photographers for now. If she asks, I might take her one day when it’s not too busy.”

This, however, does not work well for the Piquets. With Penelope’s father, stepfather, and grandfather being F1 drivers, it can be difficult to keep her away from it for too long. But as a mother wanting to protect her child, Kelly is not different. She continues to keep Penelope away from the spotlight. Therefore, Penelope cannot be seen cheering on Verstappen alongside Kelly.
