Ferrari has always been known as one of the legendary teams in Formula 1. But they have not been able to win the Championship for the last 15 years. Now they seem to be looking at their options to help them get their next Championship.
Will Lewis Hamilton join Ferrari?
Lewis Hamilton’s contract is set to expire after the 2023 season. One of his main goals with his new contract will be to win another Championship. After Lewis Hamilton lost the 2021 World Championship in Abu Dhabi, he has been looking for an opportunity to win another one. He currently has 7 World Championships to his name and needs 1 more to break the record set by Michael Schumacher.
Since 2022, Mercedes have not been able to provide Hamilton with that Championship-winning car. This has led fans to think that Hamilton might look elsewhere to break that record. However, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have been very vocal about extending his contract with the team.

Lewis Hamilton has been with the team for the last decade and calls his team family. But if Hamilton loses hope in the team’s ability to build a Championship winning car, he might look at his options away from the team.
Although Ferrari has not offered Hamilton a contract, rumors suggest that Ferrari is considering it. Both of Ferrari’s drivers have a contract with the team until the end of the 2024 season. However, it is possible that they might choose to buy Carlos Sainz out of his contract or do a driver swap with Mercedes.
Will Hamilton be able to win a Championship with Ferrari?
In order for Ferrari to get Hamilton, a lot of things need to go right for them. One is, Lewis Hamilton needs to lose faith in Mercedes in providing him with a Championship-winning car. Two is, Ferrari, will have to find a way to convince that Hamilton’s best chance of winning a Championship is with Ferrari.
Even if Ferrari is able to acquire Lewis Hamilton, Hamilton will find it difficult to win a championship right away. The Ferrari will be a much different car compared to Mercedes. Even if the Ferrari is faster, it will take Hamilton some time to get adjusted to the car.

Lewis Hamilton’s teammate in Ferrari will be none other than Charles Leclerc. Charles Leclerc is also a very talented and young driver. He has been with the team since 2019 and will have more experience in the Ferrari than Hamilton.

Although it is fun and interesting to talk about these possibilities, there are a lot of things that need to happen in this case. But the facts are that Lewis Hamilton wants to be with Mercedes and Mercedes wants Lewis Hamilton in their car.
Lewis Hamilton will be looking for a longer deal with Mercedes even after his retirement. He wants to continue being the brand ambassador for Mercedes after his career as a driver.
