So far, Mercedes and Red Bull have been at the top for the past few years, while other teams have threaded in the back. But Red Bull’s growing dominance has been challenged by McLaren, Ferrari, and Aston Martin.
However, recently the McLaren CEO made an appearance with none other than Adrian Newey. Adrian Newey is the Chief Technology Officer at Red Bull. He has crafted the RB19 and has been labeled a “genius” multiple times for his handicraft. Nonetheless, Red Bull will be partnering with Ford for their engines in 2026. The new regulations will be to take steps towards making it an environmentally friendly sport.

The CEO of Ford, Jim Farley was among the two at the table. Since the regulations have been announced, people have predicted an end to Red Bull’s dominance.
The reason is that Ford has not been a part of the sport for some time which can throw them off their game. While a few ex-drivers have confessed these regulations will help Lewis Hamilton to beat the Bulls.
McLaren CEO, Zak Brown joins hands with Mercedes rival for 2026
Fans have been left restless after they spotted the CEO of Ford seated along with Zak Brown and Adrian Newey. After the picture was posted on Instagram, fans could not help but wonder what they are in for in 2026. As everyone is aware Ford will be the provider of engine for the Red Bull team. But with the CEO of McLaren at the table, the pot has been stirred.
One of the fans commented on the whole fiasco of the situation by guessing what will happen in 2026. As of now, McLaren receives their engines from Mercedes. However, seeing Zak Brown with Adrian Newey means that the McLaren boss could finally be joining hands with the Mercedes rivals. A fan commented, predicting that the meet was for them to discuss McLaren receiving the Red Bull Powertrains or RBPT.
