Over the last few years, Formula 1’s value has increased by a large margin. This has led Chanel to design a Formula 1-inspired tank top for a unique price.
Ever since Netflix’s Drive to Survive series aired, the fanbase of the sport has grown rapidly. Liberty Media purchased Formula 1’s commercial rights for around $4 billion in 2017. It is reportedly worth over $20 billion now. This has caused various fashion brands to design Formula 1-inspired clothes. Chanel recently released a Formula 1 tank top as a part of the Cruise 2022/23 collection, valued at a price only affordable by a few.
Chanel has valued the tank top at $5000. This seems unbelievably high for the average citizen but exclusive Chanel products are usually valued in that range.
As soon as Chanel revealed their product, fans took to social media to give their opinions

The Chanel brand is very popular in the fashion industry. They have now designed an F1 tank top featuring what looks like the Monaco Grand Prix with a car resembling Sir Jackie Stewart’s 1973 Tyrrell 005. Jackie Stewart famously won the 1973 Monaco Grand Prix with that car. The 1973 Tyrrell 005 was the last Formula 1 car driven by Sir Jackie Stewart during an F1 weekend. Jackie Stewart would go on to win his 3rd WDC that year before retiring from the sport.

The Monaco Grand Prix is considered to be one of the most glamorous events in motorsport due to its rich history and the presence of celebrities. Monaco is considered to be the land of Millionaires. Over 12000 millionaires choose to reside in Monaco. This is mainly due to their tax laws and the location. Most of the top Formula 1 drivers reside in Monaco including Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc.
The 2023 Monaco Grand Prix was followed by the launch of the new F1 tank top by Chanel. It’s fair to say that it is a product fit for Monaco.
