Esteban Ocon first started his journey through karting at a young age. He drove alongside Pierre Gasly and the late driver, Anthoine Hubert. After winning the French KF3 title and being a runner-up to Max Verstappen in WSK Euro Series, he earned a spot in Renault Formula with Gravity Sports Management. Although he did not win the Renault Series, his best result was a third position behind Pierre Gasly.
Ocon would soon find major success in the Formula 2 European Championship. He won twenty-one of the twenty-three races in F3 that season. He managed to finish before Max Verstappen in the series, after his Formula 3 success, the French driver was promoted to Formula 1. As a Formula 1 driver, he has driven for multiple different teams since 2016.
His first team was Manor, with which he won the best result of 12th position. However, in his second season in Formula 1, the French driver joined Force India as a part of his Mercedes contract. After spending two years with the team, he went on to stay as a reserve driver for Mercedes for one season. After this, Renault signed Ocon for only one season after which the team left the racing championship.
Esteban Ocon went on to join Alpine BWT in 2021 and continues to drive for Alpine in 2023. He has scored his personal best and for the team, a P3 in the races in the 2023 season.
