NBA 2K24 is just over a month away from being released. The 2K franchise is celebrating its 25th year and the release of the 24th edition of the game. In honor of it being release No.24, they’ve made Kobe Bryant the cover athlete, as he wore the number throughout the second half of his illustrious career. However, the game will have a couple of new features added and fans have been extremely excited about it as well.
NBA 2K24 announced that it will be including Crossplay in the game. This feature will allow players to connect irrespective of the console being used. For example, a PlayStation user can play with an Xbox user via Crossplay, which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. Crossplay will be limited to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and X users alone. 2K also announced that they will distribute exciting goodies to fans who preorder the game.

A series of announcements will be made starting August 14th until September 4th. 2K will reveal details on various segments of the game every week between the start and end date mentioned. People, especially e-sports athletes have gotten a chance to see an early demo version of the game. The reviews have been quite neutral. Some believe that 2K24 has few new features while the rest of the game remains the same.
Fans give an honest take on NBA 2K24 graphics
Earlier last week, NBA 2K24 revealed avatars of Devin Booker and Victor Wembanyama. The reason why Booker has been heavily featured is because he was the cover athlete of 2K23. A ruby Devin Booker card will also be given to fans who pre-order. But the graphics initially received slightly negative reviews from fans. Some claimed they barely saw any difference between last year’s release and the current edition.
But as the days go by and while 2K unveils images of other athletes, fans have slowly started to realize the drastic changes in the textures of the game. The avatars look a bit more realistic texture wise which is a great sign that the rest of the gameplay will have a better overall look. After Tyrese Haliburton’s image was leaked, one fan said, “Why do these actually look really good.” Another fan said, “I don’t understand why in some photos it looks like a step up and in others it doesn’t.”

Having a mixed set of reviews is almost inevitable in this case. But things are looking good as of now, especially after fans initially criticized the gameplay’s features. Fans are hoping to hear some good news over the next couple of days. NBA 2K24 is expected to come out on September 8, 2023.
