Halo’s Firefight has long been a franchise mainstay, serving as the ideal blend of co-op wave-based defense versus computer-controlled swarms of campaign adversaries. The Firefight mode in Halo Infinite pits you against AI enemies with up to three other teammates. Instead of simply surviving waves of opponents like in previous games, Halo Infinite‘s Firefight now includes a King of the Hill objective. The firefight mode now makes a return in Halo season 5.
Halo Firefight is a PvE game mode in which Spartans must conquer and defend hills against waves of AI-controlled adversaries. Like the story, players can choose the difficulty level of the game mode before entering battle, which determines the enemy’s health, numbers, and AI, as well as each player’s own starting loadout options for weapon and equipment selection.

Once all adversaries have been defeated, players will receive powerful weapons such as the Rocket Launcher, armor abilities such as Active Camo, or extra team lives before the following wave begins.
Infinite Firefight now includes an initial loadout selection. Early gameplay footage revealed Spartans with limitless Grappleshot and Threat Sensor charges, exactly like in the campaign, as well as the new option for players to be revived mid-wave, allowing teams to save their limited pool of respawns on the harder levels.
How to play Firefight in Halo Infinite?
In the official multiplayer playlist, Firefight can be played single or cooperatively with up to four players, although custom lobbies can entirely bypass the limitation by modifying the game mode’s preset rules.
Unfortunately, there appears to be some misunderstanding on how to play it. Due to the lack of a public playlist in Firefight, gamers are having difficulty finding it. If the players need help finding Firefight, here’s how they can do it in Halo Infinite.

To play Firefight in Halo Infinite, the player needs to search for a “custom game browser” and start a match. After that, they need to use the search filter to find a map with the keyword “Firefight” in it. After they have done that, they need to pick a map, and a mode, and leave the lobby open for other people to join. This enables them to create their own Firefight match with other players from all over the world.
If the player doesn’t want to start their own Firefight battle, they can always join an existing one. They need to search for “Customs Browser” and then click on a match that is already seeking participants. Because of its popularity and the fact that it is a relatively new feature, there should be plenty of eager participants to be found.
