The release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth which is the next game in the series is just around the corner. Fans of the series are already hyped about it and to add fuel to it PlayStation aired the game’s exclusive State of Play showcase giving fans an early feel of the game.
The recent State of Play dived fans into eleven minutes of new gameplay. Players can expect the final game to have a 40-hour campaign, a sizable, explorable world map, and whole new places added. The new game may also have additional storytelling and plot that might unexpectedly depart from the original game in certain areas.
At the State of Play event, the developers came forward to announce that fans can play a demo of the game before its release. This is not wholly unexpected, considering that Square Enix made the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo available before the game’s official release.
How to play the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Demo?
Announced at the State of Play stream, the demo will allow players to experience the initial parts of the new title. Players will have Cloud and Sephiroth as the playable characters during the game’s popular Nibelheim flashback chapter. Square Enix has also announced that they will be adding the Junon region in the second part of the demo later this month.
The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo will feature the entire first chapter of the game. Players need to follow the below-mentioned steps to play the demo.
- Players need to sign in to their PlayStation account on their PS5 console.
- They then need to navigate to the PlayStation Store and search for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo. This can be found in the “What’s Hot” section.
- Next, they need to click on the demo to open the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo store page.
- Finally, to play the demo, players need to download the game. The demo file is quite massive and is at 48.69 GB.
Players cannot play the free Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo on a PC or Xbox X|S as it is only accessible on the PlayStation 5.
How to preload Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?
As a piece of good news to fans, the developer has enabled the preload feature for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The game can be preloaded starting at midnight on February 27 i.e. two days before the release. According to the size-tracking X account PlayStation Game Size, the game’s size will reportedly be at 150GB.
After players pick their editions and buy the game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will appear on their PlayStation 5 dashboard. All they need to do is head to their dashboard and begin downloading it when the preload becomes live on February 27.
However, players with only digital copies of the game can preload it. Owners of the physical copy won’t be able to preload the game.
