One of WWE’s all-time greats, The Rock is famous for laying verbal smackdowns on his opponents. While the WWE legend was bullying several superstars on live TV, things weren’t the same for him behind the scenes. The Rock reportedly had a horrible time behind the curtains during his early WWE run.

According to WWE legend Chris Jericho, The Rock got bullied by WWE legend Shawn Michaels when he arrived in the WWE. WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart in the past had also made similar claims and Jericho admitted that the stories are true.

“As far as I know, that’s true, from what The Rock told me. That’s the reason why The Rock and Shawn Michaels never worked a match. I think Shawn might have insulted The Rock when he was a kid, in Hawaii.” Jericho said. (H/T: Sportskeeda)

Despite being two of WWE’s greatest superstars during the Attitude Era, both Michaels and The Rock never worked together in the WWE. Due to the way HBK treated him, The Rock allegedly didn’t want to have a program with the WWE veteran.

The Hall of Famer in an interview with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail talked about why the dream match didn’t happen. He also admitted that he used to be difficult to work with in the 90s but became a changed man after returning in 2002.

“I was always open to it but it didn’t work out. He became an incredibly busy man and famous guy and everything else and I would imagine his priorities changed quite a bit. And the things he wanted to do I think he did and I respect that”. HBK said. (H/T: First Sportz)

The Rock’s daughter works under Shawn Michaels on NXT

The Rock’s daughter Ava Raine made her NXT debut when she was revealed as the fourth member of the Stable, The Schism. The 21-year-old is currently working under the leadership of Shawn Michaels on WWE’s developmental brand and is a regular on Tuesday nights.

Michaels who is tasked with handling creative duties for NXT opened up about working with the WWE legend’s daughter.

“It’s funny because I get to work with his daughter every day. She’s a wonderful young lady and it’s one of those things where I can do my best to help Ava every day.” Michaels told Daily Mail.
