Not only that but he was also seen on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’. During his appearance at the show, Johnson mentioned that there were plans for The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, it was later scrapped. He then went on to create an atmosphere of excitement by mentioning WrestleMania 40. He also added, “I’m saying that’s a potential too. I’m open, I’m open“.

With that, it seems the WWE Universe will get to witness Rock vs. Reigns at WrestleMania next year. However, that’s a long way to go since WrestleMania 40 is scheduled for April 2024. During his recent appearance on WWE SmackDown, Johnson was seen in a segment with Austin Theory and Pat McAfee. The interaction between The Rock and Theory resulted in The Great One delivering the ‘People’s Elbow’ to Theory.

This might be a trailer for a future match between the two. It doesn’t seem like Theory will forget this soon. He might soon come face-to-face with Johnson and challenge him to a match.

2. Grayson Waller

Previously, young WWE superstar Grayson Waller was embroiled in an online feud with The Rock. He took several shots at the legend, and Johnson also fired back once. Not only that, Waller went to call out The People’s Champ on SmackDown. He also gave him an open invitation to appear on The ‘Grayson Waller Effect’.

Now that Johnson has once again stepped foot into the Stamford-based promotion, he might as well be a guest on the show. They might end up in a war of words owing to their online digs and that might, in turn, result in a future match between the two. Fans have long speculated on a match between the two; thus, they would be absolutely thrilled to witness it.
