SUMMARY
- Damian Lillard has made a name for himself as one of the best shooters in NBA history.
- The Milwaukee Bucks superstar has also won three-point contests in the past.
Damian Lillard is undoubtedly one of the biggest NBA stars in the current era. The Milwaukee Bucks guard cemented his status as a legendary shooter when he was playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. Dame burst onto the scene when the Blazers drafted him as the sixth overall pick at the 2012 NBA Draft. Since then, the guard went on to play in 830 games (including playoffs) for the Blazers, averaging 25.2 points.
Lillard’s numbers for his team earned him multiple NBA All-Star selections and even won the NBA Three-Point contest twice in a row as well (2023 & 2024). He has also made the All-NBA Team once in 2018 and boasts four Second All-NBA Team and two All-NBA Third Team.
Damian Lillard averages 19.5 points in the NBA All-Star Games
Since 2014, Lillard has played in six NBA All-Star games. He is currently averaging 19.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1 steal per game. Proving his shooting prowess on the big stage as well, Dame shoots at 45.7FG% as well.
The American guard’s best game came in 2021. He played for Team LeBron and faced off against Team Durant. He put up 32 points on the night, along with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. He attempted 16 three-pointers that day but managed to make only 8, which is a decent number regardless. Lillard’s FG% for that game was 55.
Dame played his NBA All-Star Game in 2014
Dame‘s first-ever NBA All-Star appearance came in 2014, when he represented the Western Conference. It was rather an underwhelming debut for the guard, who put up just 9 points that game. He also made one rebound but failed to register any assists that night.
It is understandable considering he played just over 8 minutes in that game. But Lillard managed to bring up his All-Star numbers and currently averages a decent number as well.

Dame will play on Team Giannis, representing the Eastern Conference this time around. It will be a huge relief that he will be alongside his Bucks teammate, with whom he has built decent chemistry. Lillard also scored the game-winner last year, and helped Team LeBron reach the target score of 182.
But it has to be mentioned that this will be the first time he will be going against LeBron James in the All-Star games, and it will be interesting to see how both of these superstars perform.
