Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes put on an absolute classic at the recently held WWE SummerSlam event. The match was regarded as the best encounter in their full-fledged rivalry, but what made this match even more special was how The Beast acknowledged Cody after it.
As a way of showing respect to The American Nightmare, Brock gave him a hug after the match and also raised his hand in front of a massive crowd at Ford Field Stadium. The Beast Incarnate’s actions received massive applause from the fans, but they also raised speculation that Brock Lesnar might be retiring soon. So, let’s check out when Lesnar’s WWE contract is coming to an end.
According to Zero News, The Beast Incarnate signed a new contract with the Stamford-based promotion back in April during WrestleMania 39 weekend. This deal is reported to be a one-year deal, and many believe it will be Lesnar’s last run with the Triple-H-led promotion.
His latest contract included five matches leading up to next year’s WrestleMania 40, and out of them, Brock has already completed three matches against Cody. The way Lesnar showed respect to his opponent after the match, he is expected to be done for 2023 and will reportedly return to TV around Royal Rumble 2024.
It must be noted that The Beast’s previous contract was an 18-month deal that was signed before SummerSlam 2021. Under this contract, Brock enjoyed great success, as his Cowboy gimmick was immensely loved. This contract reportedly expired in April 2023, and after that, Lesnar signed his latest contract with Triple H’s company.
Brock Lesnar’s net worth in 2023
Despite reports that Brock Lesnar’s current WWE contract could be his last run with the Stamford-based promotion, there’s no doubt that he is still a major draw. Due to his massive popularity and success in pro wrestling, and even his endeavors outside of it, Lesnar has an estimated net worth of $25 million.
Looking at the way Brock has managed to remain at the peak despite being in his mid-40s, it seems his net worth is only going to increase in the upcoming years. Even if he retires from in-ring competition in the next few years, he can still earn pretty well through other endeavors.
After the SummerSlam 2023 event, The Beast is reported to be on a long leave from the Stamford-based promotion. It’ll be interesting to see when he returns to the company and against whom he will compete after his return to the company.
