The 31-year-old champion also shared an Instagram story with his promoter Bob Arum and trainer Declan Wash. Errol indicated in this story that he will be ready for training by the end of this week. It is needless to say that the IBF and WBC welterweight champion is itching to get back inside the ring after suffering a horrific last-minute eye injury ahead of his fight against Manny Pacquiao.
Ugas went on to replace Errol Spence Jr and defeated Pacman via unanimous decision to become the new WBA welterweight champion. Now that the Cuban boxer is the new WBA champion it would be interesting to see who comes out on top in this highly anticipated title bout. How did Errol Spence Jr fare in his last title fight?
Errol Spence Jr has suffered some unfortunate injuries in the span of the last two years. Consequently, now that he has recovered from his eye injury and is gearing up for a title unification bout against Yordenis Ugas, let us take a look at his performance in his last fight against Danny Garcia.
The Truth who had returned inside the ring from a dreadful car crash made it look very easy against a top opponent like Garcia. He dictated the pace of the fight and constantly pushed Danny to the backfoot. Errol found a lot of success with his jab and he caused significant damage to Garcia’s left eye with his punches.

After the end of 12 rounds of action, Errol Spence Jr comfortably defended his welterweight titles via unanimous decision. The 31-year old out punched Danny by landing 187 of 707 punches thrown. Therefore this victory is an example, that Errol Spence Jr can bounce back from injuries in a significant fashion and one can expect fireworks from his upcoming fight. However, it goes without saying that Ugas is an extremely tough opponent, and his outing against Manny Pacquiao stands testimony to that.
Who do you think will come out as the winner when both these boxers share the boxing ring later this year?
