SUMMARY
- Andrew Tate pitched the launch of a cryptocurrency in a now-deleted post on X.
- This comes months after he claimed he would never endorse crypto.
Former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate has backtracked on his earlier promise of never endorsing cryptocurrency. In a now-deleted post on X, Tate claimed he was ready to release a cryptocurrency and also invest $100 million of his money in it. YouTuber Stephen Findeisen, who is better known as Coffeezilla, went after Tate as soon as he posted about the potential crypto.
In his deleted post, Tate outlined a plan to involve his online “university” members in an early presale. He wrote, “If I launch a coin and back it with 100m of my own money and never sell. Then I’ll let university.com members get in early at a discount and then because I’m the most famous man alive, I’ll promote it everywhere let you all make money.
“You have to call me ‘Top G- The G stands for crypto’ every single time you tweet at me. 50K retweets and it’s a deal.”

The post on X reached over a million views, according to reports, before it was deleted. It is supposed that Tate deleted it due to fans’ backlash. The controversial internet personality did receive backlash from Coffeezilla. Findeisen was also one of the first people to slam Logan Paul for his CryptoZoo controversy.
Referencing his previous promise, Coffeezilla wrote on X, “Andrew Tate is launching a crypto scamcoin. Last year: “I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY CRYPTO… I don’t need to rob my fans””
Tate was also linked to a meme token which was released in May 2023, according to CoinGape. The report also states that he runs a crypto course at his ‘online university.’
Andrew Tate claimed he would never endorse cryptocurrency
In May 2023, when he was being linked to a cryptocurrency, Tate took to X to distance himself. He wrote, “I do not endorse sh*tcoins. I’m not a scammer like every other ‘influencer.’ I don’t need to rob my fans.”
Further, he claimed, “I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY CRYPTO.”
I DO NOT ENDORSE SHITCOINS.

Tate has not discredited crypto. However, he has criticized influencers who have taken advantage of their fan following to earn quick money.
Although the former kickboxing world champion has several millions of fans, his credibility has taken a huge hit since the grave accusations of human trafficking and r*pe have been leveled against him. His latest cryptocurrency post also inflicted a hit on his credibility. Fans were not happy with him backtracking on his promise which could have been his reason to delete the original post.
Fans slam Tate for promoting cryptocurrency
Many on the internet were unhappy about Tate’s cryptocurrency post. Many took to X to slam the internet personality. One fan wrote, “Guess he decided he needed to rob his fans.”
Another fan wrote, “Lol scamming is in this guy’s veins. He’s bragged about scamming people in different contexts.”
Tate is still legally embroiled in his case regarding the allegations against him. Almost a month ago, his request to go meet his ill mother was denied. He is still in Romania and recently he lost another of his appeals against the ruling that stopped him from leaving Romania.
