Bodybuilder and fitness influencer Bradley Martyn has become somewhat of a laughing stock lately. Despite his sheer size and immense strength, many have doubted Bradley’s outrageous claims. Moreover, with recent footage coming to light, the YouTuber’s claims feel even more far-fetched.
Previously, Bradley claimed that he could beat numerous fighters in a street fight. Speaking to them on his podcast, Bradley would share his view as to why he believed so. Despite being an absolute powerhouse, Martyn possesses very little combat experience. Despite this, the influencer believes that he could beat seasoned combat sports athletes in a ‘street fight’.
In a recent video with Ryan Garcia, this theory was put to the test. As usual, Martyn brought up the conversation and they both ran a simulation of what would possibly happen. Here, Bradley asks Garcia to ‘box’ him as the YouTuber would try and take him down. However, Bradley comes in way too open, leaving Garcia the opportunity to potentially connect with a good left hook. Even though they were only enacting what could happen, Garcia points out Bradley’s key mistake.
With that said Garcia then speaks about what could happen if Bradley was to take on Devin Haney in a street fight. “You’re huge and Devin’s like what, buck 50?” He continues by saying, “Strictly talking street fight? Nah, you’ll get him”. Owing to Bradley’s strength and power, Garcia believes that if he can get a hold of Haney, then there is a good chance that he could win, even against Garcia himself.
Bradley Martyn is confident he can beat Demetrious Johnson
As mentioned previously, Martyn has spoken about wanting to take on people in street fights. To date, there is very little footage of Bradley in action. In one clip, he is seen mauling Bryce Hall and in another, he can be seen wrestling a YouTuber, SteveWillDoIt inside a UFC Octagon. There are other clips of him wrestling against BJJ practitioners as well. Thus, there is no real way to gauge exactly how good Bradley truly is as a fighter.
In the past, Martyn has talked about a street fight with Nate Diaz, and he was swiftly put in his place. Since then, he has talked about wanting to fight former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. As such, UFC commentator Joe Rogan also touched on the topic with Bryan Callen. “Bradley Martin, on the podcast, said he was going to beat, he could beat Mighty Mouse. But he doesn’t know Mighty Mouse. Mighty Mouse said I’m going on vacation but when I get back I’m down. They’re not going to have an MMA fight they’re gonna have a jiu-jitsu match”, said Callen.
According to Joe, “Bradley Martin has no chance… He has no chance. Zero chance.” Despite acknowledging Bradley’s physique and strength, Rogan believes that in a jiu-jitsu fight, Mighty Mouse would absolutely destroy the 34-year-old. “If they just do a jiu-jitsu match, Mighty Mouse is going to get him,” said Rogan. Despite Rogan’s comments, Bradley remains confident that he can beat Johnson.
Speaking on the matter, Demetrious Johnson also added that he told Brendan Schaub about wanting to make a potential fight happen. Currently on vacation, Johnson intends to fly down to Calabasas and have a grappling match with Bradley Martyn. “We’re going to roll man. I’m gonna roll him up,” Johnson told Henry Cejudo.
