Andrew Tate is a former 4-time kickboxing champion. He was known for his vicious KO power and had a reputation for being quite violent inside the ring. However, not just inside the ring, Tate maintains the same energy in his real life as well. While there are rumors that his persona is just for the camera, Tate leaves no stone unturned to portray himself as an alpha male. However, there is a softer side to him as well.
Recently, Andrew sent out a tweet where he pleaded with Twitter owner Elon Musk to let his father’s account stay on the platform. Musk, who is a close friend of UFC commentator Joe Rogan, revealed that inactive accounts on the platform will be removed swiftly. However, Andrew’s late father, Emory Tate’s account has been inactive since September 10, 2013.
Very good idea. But my father died and I still read his account daily.

Please keep him active.@tateterrific
The account, which has the user handle @tateterrific, has about 76.9k followers and is filled with enlightening quotes. But, it may be on the chopping blocks soon as the account has not seen any activity in almost 10 years.
Hence, it made Top G request Elon Musk to spare his father’s account on the micro-blogging site. In an emotional post, Andrew wrote, “Very good idea. But my father died and I still read his account daily. Please keep him active.”
Who was Andrew Tate’s father Emory Tate?
Growing up, Andrew was fond of playing chess before he found kickboxing. Recently, Tate was seen defeating British talk show host Pierce Morgan in a chess match. However, some may wonder how he fell in love with the sport.
It was thanks to his father Emory Tate, who was an international master in chess. During his time as an active chess player, Tate Sr. won many competitions such as the Indiana State Championship (6 times) and Armed Forces Chess Championship (5 times).
Emory was born on December 27, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. He was an extremely smart man, who was known for his linguistic skills. Due to his ability to speak fluent Russian, Emory served the American government as an Air Force officer. During that, Emory went to the UK, where he met Eileen Tate. The two get married and moved to Chicago, where Andrew, his brother Tristan and sister Janine were born.
Speaking about his father, Tate revealed, “My dad is American and my mum is British. My dad was based in the UK for the air force. He was actually in the intelligence services, he was a spy. And, nowadays if the American government needs someone to translate they can hire a Russian who speaks English.”
He continued, “In the 80s, that was obviously off-limits. So they’d take Americans and teach them Russian. So they taught him Russian and he was based in the UK, where he met my mum. (One of the) top-ranked chess players in the world. He was a very very smart guy.”
Unfortunately, Emory passed away at the age of 56. He died on October 17, 2015, while taking part in a chess competition. So it will be interesting to see whether Elon Musk obliges Andrew’s request and keeps his father’s account active or not.
