WWE Megastar John cena has recently been having a great time as his latest release, ‘Barbie,’ reportedly earned $377 million worldwide in its opening weekend. The movie was released on July 21 in a clash with ‘Oppenheimer,’ and it has left the Christopher Nolan movie way behind.
The Barbie movie stars Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken in lead roles, and WWE superstar John Cena is involved in a romantic angle with Dua Lipa. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie has a WWE legend in its cast, and the movie’s lead actress, Margot, has always been public about her love for the WWE.
As the movie’s lead actress has been a WWE fan, many fans have been asking who is the Barbie star’s favorite WWE wrestler. Recent reports have revealed who Margot Robbie’s favorite WWE star is. According to WrestlingWorldCC, “Margot Robbie’s favorite wrestler growing up was The Undertaker.”
This might be a bit shocking for many, as a lot of people thought that Margot Robbie’s favorite WWE star was none other than her Barbie co-star, John Cena. Robbie has always admired John a lot, but her favorite WWE star is none other than WWE’s legendary performer, “The Undertaker.”
Margot Robbie slept with a John Cena poster in the room for years
Even before Barbie, Margot Robbie and John Cena had already worked together in 2021’s Suicide Squad, in which John played the role of “The Peacemaker.” It was during the movie’s promotions that Margot Robbie revealed that she used to sleep with a John Cena poster in her room
During the promotions, Margot Robbie and John Cena appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live alongside James Gunn, and it was during this show that Robbie revealed that she used to sleep with a life-size cutout of WWE legend Cena in the room. She did for about two years in her early 20s.
Robbie said, “I watched WWE when I was growing up. But then, as a late teen or early 20s, I had a boyfriend who was obsessed with John Cena. So much so that he dressed as John for his 21st birthday and also had a cardboard cut-out of John Cena in his bedroom. So I slept in a room for two years with a life-size cardboard cut-out of John in the room.”
Looking at the way Margot Robbie has always expressed her love for the WWE, it won’t be a surprise if we see her make a surprise guest appearance in the company. Margot can be involved in a backstage segment or just be on ringside for an event like WrestleMania or SummerSlam. The possibilities are endless, and it would be interesting to see if any of them ever turn into reality!
