Since Serena Williams shelved her tennis career, the global tennis community and her fans have been left uneasy and puzzled by theories about her possible return.
The American tennis icon, who walked away from tennis having attained 23 Grand Slam titles to her name made her most recent and final professional appearance at the US Open 2022, where she bid the crowd farewell in tears.
Following her ‘evolving away’ from tennis, there have been instances where Serena was surrounded by speculations involving her comeback to tennis. In fact, in a handful of interviews, she was also asked about her views on the same.

In connection with Williams being the subject of a recent interview by “E!”, she was witnessed addressing her opinions on rumors of her making a return to professional tennis flying across social media platforms.
Serena’s response to speculations as such was not dismissive and potentially hinted to fans of her returning quoting “Actually, I did play the other day, and it’s just like, ‘There’s no way I shouldn’t be playing professional tennis. Like, there’s literally no excuse. But I mean, I guess there is an excuse, right?”
Following the talk held with the 41-year-old, Williams most recently posted a photo of her in a tennis outfit, teasing and marking the possibility of pointing her fans in the direction of making a huge comeback to the WTA Tour this season.
