The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes’ possible return dates have been revealed and it might disappoint fans who were expecting to watch him compete this year.

According to a report by Xero News, the current plan is for Cody Rhodes to make his return at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.

Cody Rhodes made his big return to the company back in April 2022 at Wrestlemania when he squared off against Seth Rollins in one of the best matches of that show.

The duo then went on to have a trilogy of matches which received a lot of praise from the fans and wrestling experts.

In their third and final match at Hell in a Cell, Cody competed with torn pectoral muscle and received a lot of praise for putting on a classic match while being injured.

Cody then had to undergo surgery and WWE officially announced that he will be out of action for a while till he is medically cleared to be in a wrestling ring.

Whether Cody will be part of the thirty-man Rumble match is unknown right now but he sure will be one of the odds-on favourites to win next year’s Royal Rumble match.

Rumours of him dethroning The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns as the new WWE Undisputed Universal have intensified ever since Roman defeated Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle event.
