Ryan Garcia has once again hit back at his promoter and former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya. Garcia’s feud with Golden Boy promotions has been a hot topic of discussion for a long time, however, when it looked like things have come back to normal for both the parties, Garcia once again hit back at the founder of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya.
Ryan Garcia is probably one of the biggest draw right now, and for Golden Boy promotions, he is just behind three-division king Canelo Alvarez in terms of the revenue he brings to the company. However, after signing a lucrative deal with Golden Boy promotions which states his purse at $500,000, Ryan Garcia and the promotions haven’t been able to agree on a lot of things.

If reports are to be believed, Garcia has stated problems with his pay-out for the fight. Golden Boy’s Eric Gomez said that it was the minimum on his current contract. Garcia is a major draw for DAZN, the streaming service which will host the boxing’s return to mainstream media. Ryan Garcia is a major attraction for DAZN. However, the pay-out has not impressed Ryan Garcia, who declined to fight on July 4th.
Ryan Garcia not happy with Golden Boy Promotions
Ryan Garcia has slowly transitioned into a rising prospect for the belt. Previously supposed to headline Golden Boy promotions’ return to boxing, Garcia remains without an opponent for the time being.
Oscar De La Hoya took to Twitter to announce Vergil Ortiz Jr. bout as the main event for their return on the 4th of July. In the same tweet, De La Hoya mentioned how Garcia had declined to fight on 4th July. This did not go well with Ryan Garcia, who took to twitter and slammed his promoter.
