Jey Uso, originally known as Joshua Samuel Fatu, has been one of the most famous WWE superstars in recent times. With his new catchphrase, “Yeet,” the Superstar is having a good solo run in the Stamford-based promotion.
The Samoan superstar parted ways with ‘The Bloodline‘ in August 2023 when he super-kicked Roman Reigns and another member of the faction in an episode of SmackDown. Thereafter, he went on RAW and has been making his own story since then.
WWE Superstars have been well-known for upholding popular culture in various ways, and Jey Uso does the same. He is known for his tattoos, which have covered a large part of his body with inked designs. In his recent Instagram story, Jey Uso posted a video shared by his tattoo artist, Michael Fatutoa. In the video, Jey Uso is seen flaunting his newly finished tattoos on his back and arms, which seem like an armored plate on his body.

These tattoos have special relevance for the Samoan superstar. They resemble the legacy of Samoan culture and heritage. His right arm has the word ‘Samoa’ inked on it, along with a tribal cross. His back tattoo, which looks really clean and beautiful, resembles Samoan tribal art.

He also has his son’s name, ‘Jaciyah,’ inscribed under the left part of his chest. In September 2022, Jey Uso got a tattoo honoring the memory of his late uncle Umaga (Eddie Fatu) on his left calf with the years 1973-2009 inscribed below it.
Jey’s tattoo designer, Michael Fatutoa, is a brilliant tattoo artist who specializes in making Samoan art designs. Jey Uso did not have any tattoos on his body when he debuted on WWE in 2010. But as his career progressed in a positive direction, he started having tattoos on his body, therefore establishing a positive correlation between both of them.
Jey Uso comments on his tattoos
Jey Uso is proud of his tattoos and frequently flaunts them on social media. He once revealed in his Instagram post honoring Umaga that he is the reason why Uso has tattoos; he wrote, “Dec 4th be a sad day. Then, ALL the great memories brightens it up. Love u mane.…..Also, He’s the reason why I have tattoos”. Jey has a special respect for his great ancestry and tries to portray it in his ink.
