After dominating both the UFC and WWE, Ronda Rousey is now eyeing success in the glamorous world of Hollywood. Reports have emerged that the MMA legend is in talks to be part of the world-famous Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to the Giant Freakin Robot website, Rousey is negotiating with the multi-billion-dollar franchise for a future project. Rousey feels like a natural choice to play such a strong character on-screen. Her martial arts background could come in handy while portraying Thundra in the MCU. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” taking out her enemies on the big screen.
By signing up with the Superhero film franchise, Rousey will be following in the footsteps of some of WWE’s biggest names. Batista, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and John Cena are some of the professional wrestling stars who managed to land major roles in the superhero world. Batista played the fan-favorite Drax the Destroyer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. John Cena and Dwayne Johnson played Peacemaker and Black Adam respectively for the DCEU.
Damn it’s crazy that John Cena, The Rock and Batista are all actors and all three are playing comic book characters. That rules!!! pic.twitter.com/WerdNGZYli

Captain America: New World Order is expected to release on May 3rd, 2024. There are speculations that Marvel might postpone the release date due to superhero movie fatigue.
