Jade Cargill recently decided to part ways with AEW. Following that, several speculations were making the rounds that Cargill would become a part of WWE soon. Now it seems that is exactly the case.

ESPN recently reported that WWE officials told the outlet that Jade Cargill has signed a deal with the Stamford-based promotion. Later Triple H-led promotion also confirmed that Cargill had penned a multi-year deal on September 26, 2023.

After the announcement, Cargill made an appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show. She then went on to talk about her decision to join WWE. The former AEW star said, “There is no grander stage than this stage. The opportunities are endless for this company. It’s a no-brainer. It was very welcoming”.

“There is no grander stage than this stage (WWE). The opportunities are endless for this company. It’s a no-brainer. It was very welcoming.

I didn’t have any second thoughts about it at all. It was just an easy choice. It wasn’t easy, but it was easy.”

She went on to say that she didn’t have second thoughts about her decision. Though it wasn’t an easy choice for her, she still described it as an easy choice. Addressing her time at AEW, Cargill said, “I wouldn’t say it’s a ceiling. I would just say that the route I wanted to take was different and the route I wanted to embark on was different”.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a ceiling (in AEW). I would just say that the route I wanted to take was different and the route I wanted to embark on was different.

I didn’t see, over there, where I could fit it. The only way I could do it was coming to the WWE Universe.”

Jade Cargill added that she was unable to see where she could fit in within the Tony Khan-led promotion. She said the only way she could do it was by becoming a part of the WWE Universe. Thus, it seems Cargill is very thrilled to have joined the Stamford-based promotion. However, not only her but also her fans are excited to see her run with the company.

Tony Khan talks about Jade Cargill after her WWE signing

Jade Cargill had been a part of All Elite Wrestling from 2020 to 2023. During her time in the promotion, she went on to win the inaugural AEW TBS Championship. However, she wrestled her last match on September 15, 2023. Following that, her contract with the promotion expired. Thereafter, she made the decision to become a part of WWE.

After the signing, Tony Khan appeared for a media call. During that, the AEW President was questioned about the signing of his former star with the Triple H-led promotion. Despite Cargill throwing shade at AEW, he stated that he had no negative things to say about Cargill. He also mentioned that Jade will always be welcomed by AEW. Khan concluded by lending his best wishes to his former star.

Tony Khan said “I have only positive things to say about Jade. It’s been great having her in AEW. She is always welcome here. She’s had a great run with us and has a great career, I’m sure, in front of her. Wishing her the best in the future”.

However, now it remains to be seen when Cargill will make her first appearance on WWE television. The Stamford-based promotion might have something huge in store for the new WWE Superstar. It is also to be seen what plans WWE will have for her in the upcoming days since she is the company’s first signing following the WWE-UFC merger.
