WWE aired its most recent episode of Raw from Quebec City, and the show was opened by Sami Zayn, who received a thunderous ovation from his home crowd. When the Canadian star was interacting with the fans, he was interrupted by The Judgment Day, as they surrounded the ring with the intention to attack him.
When the faction members were standing on the ring apron, a top champion returned to help Sami. The superstar was none other than Zayn’s tag team partner and best friend, Kevin Owens. After a long hiatus from WWE TV due to an injury, KO made a surprise return to Triple H’s company last night.

Kevin‘s return on Monday night’s show was a surprise for the audience, and the pop he received from his home fans showed how much everyone missed him. His comeback not only received cheers from the live crowd, but fans also shared excitement about his return on social media platforms. Check out some of the fan reactions here:
Sharing excitement over the return of Sami’s tag team partner, an audience member wrote, “Welcome back @FightOwensFight.” “DAMN WHAT A POP!,” someone wrote after being in awe of the response by the live audience. Comparing the crowd reaction KO received on his return to the attitude era, a fan claimed, “Attitude era-like crowd.”

As soon as KO’s music hit, fans were elated, and the superstar was quick to take out the heel faction. He started by taking out Dominik Mysterio on the ramp and later turned his attention toward other members of the group. Through this, Owens not only saved his friend but also made a strong statement on Raw.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens wrestled The Judgment Day on WWE Raw
After being taken out by KO, The Judgment Day was regrouping outside the ring when the returning star asked them for a tag team match. He challenged them to send any two of the stable, as he referred to his long absence from in-ring action by saying it had been far too long since he had a match on WWE Raw.
As the stable accepted the challenge, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens fought them in the main event of the show, but the match ended in a disqualification. As the faction was about to take out the tag champs, Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring and saved them.

This led to a six-man tag-team match, as Cody joined Kevin and Sami to take on the heel faction. The match was highly entertaining with some spectacular spots, and the Babyface team eventually ended up as the winner. In the final moments of the encounter, Dominik took the pin after the returning KO hit him with a stunner.
Looking at how Owens performed on the August 21 Raw, it’s evident that he has fully recovered from his injury and is set to again give breathtaking performances. It’ll be interesting to see how Triple H’s company handles the Undisputed Tag Champions in the upcoming weeks.
