The recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown did not end well for Charlotte Flair. Despite securing a spot for a match against Asuka for WWE’s special Tribute to the Troops edition, Flair left the ring with a probable injury. While the moment wasn’t aired on live television, the audience soon spread the clip on various social media platforms.
The extent of the injury was such that fans could hear Flair screaming “My knee” in pain. However, despite the gruesome botch, she continued with the match. Consequently, Asuka won the match, leaving the fans worried about Charlotte’s well-being.

The fans took to various social media platforms to pen down their concerns for The Queen. “Damn, that’s so sad to see. I hope she gets better,” wrote one fan. Another one wrote, “Oh no that looks nasty! Hope she recovers soon.” One other well-wisher was grateful that the extent of the injury did not exceed what had actually happened. “Lucky she didn’t break her neck, she fell right on her head,” he wrote.
However, a huge section of the fans didn’t like the botches in the match. “Such a sloppy shop, they need a performance center,” wrote one fan. With multiple botches taking over the matches in recent times, fans are utterly disappointed. “So let’s call it what it is…a botch…a big ol’ botch…,” wrote another frustrated fan. With this being said, Charlotte Flair is in everybody’s prayers as fans hope for her speedy recovery.
Is Charlotte Flair legitimately injured?
Charlotte Flair’s botched spot sparked much concern from the fans. This also leaves much of the WWE Universe worried as to whether her injury was legitimate or a kayfabe. However, it appears that Charlotte Flair is legitimately injured.
There has been no confirmation from the end of the company on her injury status. On the other hand, PWInsider confirmed that Flair was genuinely hurt. “During the commercial break, Asuka and Flair were setting up for a move but Flaur (Flair) slipped and got caught on the ropes, wrenching her knee and striking her head,” it reported.
Prayers for Charlotte Flair.
Per PWInsider, Charlotte Flair worked the latter part of her match against Asuka obviously hurt.

In addition to this, Flair had to be accompanied backstage for a medical examination. As per the latest update of this piece, the update from the medical officials is still awaited. Fans expect that her injury isn’t too gruesome and she’ll return soon to the ring. With Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40 not too far away, it is a horrible time to be a victim of such an injury.
