The Judgment Day has been the face of Monday Night RAW for a long time, and each member of the faction has played a major role in it. While Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio’s careers have been revolutionized due to their run with the stable, Finn Balor has once again reached the top of popularity due to his association with the group.
The 42-year-old performer has achieved a lot of success during his ongoing run with Judgment Day, but it seems that he’s about to go back to his old persona soon, as WWE might just have finally listened fans’ requests to bring back Demon Finn. As hinted on RAW’s May 20 episode, he could be revisiting the persona soon and it is one of the most interesting things that could take place in the company.

On the latest episode of the red brand’s show, Finn’s Demon Mask was spotted in the background during a segment. This has led to a variety of specialisation among the audience, as everyone believes that WWE is about to give fans the return of Balor’s special character soon to revolutionize his career.
Finn Balor could be revisiting The Demon persona sooner than expected
WWE hinted at the return of Balor‘s Demon persona on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, and they’re wondering when the character is going to make a comeback. In this regard, it must be noted that Finn Balor could be revisiting The Demon persona sooner than expected.
Ever since Rhea Ripley was taken off-screen due to her injury, The Judgment Day hasn’t been the same. Damian Priest’s emergence to the top has seen him instruct his teammates to stay away from his business, but they haven’t done the exact same. Finn and JD McDonagh have tried to help Priest on multiple occasions, and it hasn’t been received well by the 41-year-old in-ring performer.
In fact, it even took the group to the verge of breakup at the recently held WWE Backlash PLE in France. On the show, Jey Uso challenged Damian Priest for his prestigious title, but he was unsuccessful in dethroning him after interference from the heels. After the match, Finn Balor and JD tried to attack Main Event Jey, but Damian spotted them from the assault.
In fact, he even pushed the former Universal Champion to the side, and the audience expected them to come to blows. Even though it didn’t happen, the segment started to form theories about the potential breakup of the stable in the near future. Fans believe that all this could lead to a full-fledged rivalry between Damian and Finn Balor.
With WWE’s recent hint at the potential return of The Demon on the recent episode of RAW, it seems that Finn is about to revisit the persona pretty soon. As The Judgment Day’s time as a faction seems to be around the end, it remains to be seen how the Triple H-led promotion’s creative team handles this storyline.
Finn Balor’s recent WWE record as The Demon isn’t that incredible
The Irish pro wrestler joined the Stamford-based promotion in 2014, and it’s almost been a decade since his run started. But, Finn Balor’s recent WWE record as The Demon isn’t that incredible, as he hasn’t been able to establish his dominance under this special character. After making his in-ring debut for the company’s developmental territory in November 2014, Balor went on a roll and even won the NXT Championship.
It was at NXT TakeOver: The End on June 8, 2016, when Finn took his first loss under his “Demon” persona. Soon after this, he was called up to the main roster and became the inaugural Universal Champion at the 2016 edition of SummerSlam, but had to relinquish his title on the RAW after the event due to a shoulder injury. Due to this injury, Finn Balor remained out of action for a long time before he made his return in February 2017.
After building some momentum over the next year, he got involved in a rivalry with Bray Wyatt that led to a match at SummerSlam 2017. This was the encounter for which the former Bullet Club member returned his “Demon” character as he defeated Wyatt. The feud continued throughout the next few months, and Finn continued his dominance as he won again at the No Mercy premium live event.
In what was a dream match for many, at the TLC event in October 2017, Balor defeated AJ Styles in a high-profile encounter. After this, he was involved in several storylines over the next few months, until he got involved in a feud with Baron Corbin in mid-2018. After the 2018 MITB PLE, Bálor defeated Corbin on two different occasions: at the Extreme Rules event and then at the SummerSlam event as The Demon King.
Following this feud, he had several memorable matches against some of the top stars in the company before facing Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 35. At The Show of Shows, Finn Balor defeated Bobby under the Demon character and won the prestigious title. After winning it, he had a dominant reign and successfully defended his title at Super Showdown under the special persona in June.
In October 2019, the Irish pro wrestler made a return to the yellow brand and continued his involvement on NXT until May 2021. After returning to the main roster in July 2021, The Demon went on to face Roman Reigns on two different occasions, but was unsuccessful in defeating The Tribal Chief. This took a massive toll on the momentum of this special character and ended up making the WWE record for the persona quite bad.
After this, in June 2022, Finn Balor officially joined the heel faction and has been performing consistently with the heel faction. But even after becoming a part of the group, he suffered a loss under the Demon persona. It happened at WrestleMania 39, as the 41-year-old lost to Edge, aka Adam Copeland, in a highly entertaining match at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
After this victory, the in-ring star hasn’t used this special persona, but it could be returning soon. Now that there seems to be some sort of friction in between the stable, it is probably a hint that the group is on the verge of breaking up. Moreover, as WWE recently hinted at the return of The Demon, it is likely that Finn might once again start portraying this character as his tensions with Damian Priest reach its boiling point to end their association as factionmates in The Judgment Day.
