The WWE has numerous star wrestlers, and Jey Uso is one of them. Born in August 1985, the star wrestler is popular for several reasons, and the catchphrase “Yeet” is one of them. He used the word so often that it became his signature phrase in the ring. However, only a few people know that “Yeet” is not Jey’s word in reality.
The real trademark owner of the famous catchphrase of Jey Uso is Kasey Huffman. As per reports, he was born in September 1995. Huffman belongs to Boone County, West Virginia. Just like 38-year-old Uso, Huffman is also a professional wrestler. He has reportedly wrestled in the All-Star Wrestling.
Kasey Huffman’s ring name is “Huffmanly, The Leader of the #YEET Movement”. There’s not much information available about him, but he loves wrestling a lot. During his interviews, Huffman talked a lot about his wrestling training.
The 28-year-old pro wrestler loves to talk about his experience in the field of wrestling. He has even emphasized several times how wrestling is like a tradition in West Virginia. Huffman owns the word “Yeet,” but it became popular after Jey Uso began using it during his fights.
Why Jey Uso cannot use “Yeet” anymore?
The catchphrase “Yeet” has become a regular during the Monday Night RAW matches now. Whenever Jey Uso says the word, it sends the crowd into a frenzy right away. The word has never failed to bring out a roar from the audience. Considering its popularity, Cody Rhodes has also used it several times by now.
It’s worth noting that the catchphrase became popular after Jey Uso left The Bloodline. Ever since then, the WWE and the star wrestler have been using the catchphrase a lot. However, unfortunately, fans won’t get to hear the word anymore from Jey Uso. That’s because the California-born WWE star can no longer use “YEET” due to legal issues.
On the episode of December 4, the word got censored every time someone mentioned it on RAW. Reports suggest that the company of Vince McMahon has to stop using that word because of trademark issues. Notably, Kasey Huffman has held the trademark right to the word “Yeet” since 2021. As for WWE, they believe that they cannot argue on this point and have to abandon using the word.

It’s worth noting that Jey Uso challenged ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, the 242-lbs wrestler had to face defeat in front of 37-year-old Rollins. Now, only time will tell who Jey will be facing next and when he will register his next victory in the ring.
