Marty Jannetty’s tag team run with Shawn Michaels
Marty Jannetty was most widely known for his duo with Shawn Michaels, and their tag team was known as ‘The Rockers’. Both superstars performed together from 1985 to 1992 in various wrestling promotions.
However, even though the duo was very famous in WWE, they never won a Tag Team Championship together in the Triple-H promotion. In 1992, the duo broke up on screen after a series of events. Marty Jannetty interfered in multiple matches where his partner Michaels lost. Michaels also betrayed him in 1992, which ended their friendship.
Breaking up with Marty Jannetty helped Shawn Michaels rise in the singles ranks and become the mega wrestling superstar he is today. Jannetty and Michaels got on and off a few times before Marty finally got released by WWE in 1996. With recent tragedies, he is at a low point in his life and is heartbroken. Hopefully, he will recover from his problems, and his medical condition will improve soon.
