Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kurt Angle were prominent figures in the Attitude Era of professional wrestling, which is widely regarded as one of the most popular and influential periods in WWE (then WWF) history. Both individuals played significant roles in shaping the era and contributing to its success. While The Rock was the face of the company at that time, Angle was a rookie who immediately rose in the ranks.
Apart from WWE, Dwayne Johnson, and Kurt Angle also featured together in the “Pain and Gain” movie. Recently, on “The Kurt Angle Show,” The Olympic Hero revealed how he lost touch with The Rock after sharing the big screen in 2013. Kurt started off by explaining how Rock used to change his number a lot and always texted him his new number. They kept in touch until 2013 when they got with their own things.
“But The Rock also got me in a movie ‘Pain and Gain’. We had a fight scene in that movie. And it was really cool to be in that movie and have a fight scene with The Rock. He always kept in touch with me up until 2013. But then he didn’t give me his number after that and we kinda lost touch with each other. But at that point in time I was in TNA, doing my own thing, so it was no hard feelings,” Kurt further added.
Moreover, Angle admitted that he would’ve liked to be in touch with The Rock. He also disclosed how he met Johnson at a concert years later after losing touch with him. And that was the last time they interacted with each other.
