Since joining the DC Studios superhero cast as Black Adam, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has created quite a stir. There was a lot of excitement about Dwayne appearing in the film. Fans were somewhat dissatisfied when the movie finally premiered.
After a strong start with a $67 million opening weekend, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam has already collected a total of $389.16 million worldwide. The Warner Bros. DCU movie’s premiere took place 7 weeks ago.
However, despite The Rock’s strategic decision to put Black Adam on streaming services before the holiday season, the movie shows no indications of picking up momentum. The loss suffered by the studios could be the cause of the massive changes the DCEU will take.
Henry Cavill announces he won’t return to play Superman
On Thursday, Hollywood actor Henry Cavill announced that he would not be playing Superman again in future DC movies. In a statement on Instagram, Cavill announced his exit from the character, which he has played since 2013’s Man of Steel. The news was released over two months after he declared his return as Superman.

After James Gunn stated that he is writing a new Superman feature film, Cavill shared the post. Henry Cavill won’t play Superman in the future movie, according to the director, who explained that it will be focused on a younger time of the character’s life.

Variety was informed by a source close to the DC universe that James Gunn and Peter Safran met with actor Henry Cavill and came up with a possibility of a different role for the Man of Steel star to play.

The DCEU movies starring Henry Cavill as Superman was well received. To do the role justice, the actor himself put in a lot of effort. Many fans were saddened by the news that was announced and hope that Cavill would one day return to the DC Extended Universe in some way.
