Cody Rhodes went over the limit to defeat AJ Styles in a brutal show opener
After their previous battle in Lyon, France, AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes showed the WWE Universe what they could deliver in a matter of moments. The same happened in Scotland as the two battled in an ‘I Quit’ match for the WWE Championship. Wasting no time, both men were involved in a brutal bout around the arena. In a matter of minutes, Rhodes has busted open thanks to Styles’ brutal offense.
AJ did everything in his power to dethrone the American Nightmare including a belt lash inside the ring. Styles tried to make it more personal by confronting Rhodes’ mother. It was followed by a couple of slaps heard around the arena turning the match on Styles leading to Rhodes’ another dominant victory.
The American Nightmare also had his upcoming potential challenger locked in the form of Solo Sikoa. The Enforcer showed up with his Bloodline launching a sneak attack on the Champion after his impressive showing. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton came out to even the odds for Cody hinting about a multi-man rivalry in store including the Bloodline.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill lose their Tag Titles in shocking fashion
The second match on the show was the Triple Threat Tag match for the Women’s tag titles as Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defended their titles against the team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre and the team of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. Belair dominated the match initially looking like a normal defence for the iconic duo of Cargill and Belair.

However, the challengers teamed up against the Tag champions which was seen as a turning point in the match. The Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn dominated the match with their high-paced actions. During the final moments of the match, Jade knocked down Shayna and went for the pin. However Isla Dawn removed Jade and pinned Shayna to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in front of their hometown crowd in Scotland.
Otis made his decision costing Chad Gable his Intercontinental Championship match
The fiery rivalry between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn saw its peak during their match at Clash at the Castle in their excellent bout for the Intercontinental Championship. Given the high profile storytelling among Gable, Otis and Maxxine Dupri, it was highly involved throughout the match. As Maxxine tried to distract Zayn during the match, she held her emotions and stopped the attack.
Angered by her actions, Gable confronted Dupri which saw Otis coming in for Dupri’s aid. Sami tried to take the advantage of this situation but was unsuccessful as Gable used his partners as a shield to Zayn’s attacks. However Gable wasn’t able to control the situation as he accidentally attacked Maxxine which saw Otis escort Dupri out of the arena instead of helping Gable which ultimately led to Gable’s loss.

As Zayn won a classic bout between the two, the match showcased several layers of story between Gable, Otis and Maxxine. Otis had enough of Gable’s misery and chose to save Maxxine which ultimately costed Chad to lose his match. Only time will tell where this storyline goes from here and who will be Sami’s next challenger.
After a certain amount of time, Piper took the hold of the match and looked to shine in front of her hometown crowd. Piper looked to dethrone Bayley with a huge Swanton Bomb but the Role Model was able to kick out of the massive dive from Niven. Green looked to interrupt again but made things worse for Niven as Bayley defeated the hometown girl with a roll up.
CM Punk costs Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship once again
The show ended with a massive World Heavyweight Title match between the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre and Judgement Day Leader Damian Priest. With massive support from the crowd, Drew took in the moment having a grand entrance and was heavily favored throughout the match. With the Judgement Day barred from ringside, Drew looked to had a fair fight between him and Priest.

Fans were also looking out for the Second City Saint CM Punk to come out and interfere during the match. The Best in the World has been feuding with the Scottish Warrior since his return in 2023. With miraculous kickouts and excellent wrestling sequences, Drew and Priest proved to be too good for each other. During the closing moments, the referee was out of the ring thanks to a accidental attack from Damian Priest.
Drew tried to take the advantage and hit Priest with a Claymore Kick in an attempt to finish the match. As Drew pinned the champion, a new referee came to the rescue to pin for the challenger. Surprisingly, CM Punk turned out to be the special referee who screwed the Scottish Warrior’s plans by hitting a low blow allowing Priest to capitalize and win the match.

Once again, The Second City Saint proved to be the deciding factor for Drew’s championship dreams. Punk humiliated McIntyre in front of his hometown crowd. The Scottish Warrior was fumed with anger after his unfortunate defeat at his home. Only time will tell how Drew will respond to such misery from the Best in the World.
Piper Niven was unable to take the hometown advantage against Bayley
The WWE Women’s Champion Bayley looked to defend the title against Scotland’s own Piper Niven. Despite the criticism, Niven promised to win the title and declared that she is one of the superstars to be feared from. Niven’s partner Chelsea Green looked to help her partner at the start of the match but was barred from the ringside during the match.
