Bray Wyatt was an exceptional and highly talented WWE superstar. Though he is no longer among us, his matches, gimmicks, and theme songs will always be alive in the hearts of his fans.
Previously, Wyatt was released by WWE in July 2021. However, he made his return to the company towards the end of the Extreme Rules 2022 event. Following his return, he introduced his new theme song, ‘Shatter’ by Code Orange.
The song has a catchy tune, and the lyrics were immediately liked by his fans. Wyatt then kept on making his entrances with his new theme song, and fans enjoyed it way too much.
By listening to the lyrics of the song, it can be understood that the song is about how one person has the ability to control another and manipulate them in several ways. The chorus part of the song seems to highlight that one person is asking another to carry out any kind of task for them, even if it’s dangerous.
Bray Wyatt was also heard singing the famous song ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands’ during his feud with WWE legend John Cena. He also used the song during his feud with The Judgment Day member, Finn Balor.
Sadly, Bray Wyatt passed away on August 24, 2023, due to a heart attack, at the young age of 36. Thus, Wyatt’s theme song will never again be heard, along with the joy of seeing the WWE superstar come out.
The story behind The Fiend’s entrance theme
When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE in 2019, he presented a new gimmick to his fans. He portrayed two characters and switched between them randomly. One presented a good side of Wyatt, while another presented his bad side, called ‘The Fiend’.
‘The Fiend’ was immediately liked and feared by the fans. However, the most horrifying aspect was its entrance theme, which was the song ‘Let Me In’ by Code Orange.
In an interview with Newsweek, Jami Morgan of Code Orange stated the story behind The Fiend’s theme. The drummer and vocalist of the band then went on to say that he texted the WWE Superstar and said, “Hey man, I think we should do something together and it makes a lot of sense“, to which Wyatt agreed.
He mentioned that after a brief conversation with Wyatt and long-awaited approval from WWE, the song came out along with Wyatt’s gimmick, ‘The Fiend’.
Jami said, “Aesthetically, [The Fiend] lands right where our band lands. And that’s why [Wyatt] was so down. He got that instantly. He said to me, ‘This needs to be violent and scary, and that’s what you guys do'”.
It’s incredible how the fan-favorite The Fiend’s entrance theme came into existence. However, The Fiend was last seen during Bray Wyatt’s run with with company in the year 2021. Meanwhile, it is to be seen if WWE finds a way to incorporate Wyatt’s characters, moving ahead.
