Macey Estrella-Kadlec or better known as Lacey Evans by wrestling enthusiasts has been a well-known face inside the squared circle. Evans initially was a part of the United States’ military service after which she made her presence felt in the world of professional wrestling. Lacey Evans began her professional wrestling journey in 2014 when she trained at the American Premier Wrestling Center. Working on the independent circuit for almost a year, Evans won the APW World Heavyweight Championship. This achievement helped WWE notice her capability and she signed with the Stamford-based promotion in April 2016.
Lacey Evans began her professional wrestling journey in NXT under her original name – Macey Estrella. This continued till 2017 when she adopted the name of ‘Lacey Evans’. The next two years of her career saw massive growth in her run. She underwent a drastic change and she defeated multiple top women in the division such as Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae.
Evans’ talent was then brought to the main roster in December 2018. Despite working hard and getting title opportunities, Lacey Evans couldn’t become the limelight of the division. With opponents such as Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Natalya, Lacey always remained defeated. Fans expected her to make an unforgettable impact on the audience, however, she is out of the company for unknown reasons.

Lacey Evans took the internet by storm after she dropped multiple hints about her WWE exit. Her recent posts on ‘X’ and Instagram were even very cryptic about her exit. However, the hints reached their climax after Stamford-based promotion moved her to the alumni section on their website. The former star of Triple H-led promotion has also dropped her in-ring name and is back to her real-life name on social media.
With her skills and power to captivate the audience, Lacey was able to make it to WWE and its main roster in a very short amount of time. Despite not winning any championship, Evans is claimed to have received $150,000 as base salary from the Triple H-led promotion.
While WWE hasn’t officially declared the expiration date of Lacey’s contract, it is expected that August 15 was the date. Lacey Evans, in her latest Instagram post, wrote, “When the clock strikes 12, you will address me as Macey Estrella“. While it all seemed cryptic back then, it seems like she has announced her exit in a very unique manner.
