WWE veteran Vince Russo feels that Randy Orton should retire from in-ring action and work with the WWE in other roles.

Talking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's 'Writing With Russo', The former WCW writer said that Orton should put his ego aside and hang up his boots.

Orton is currently out of action with a back injury that he suffered in May and as of now, a quick return to the ring looks very unlikely.

The Viper reportedly had to undergo fusion surgery in his lower back and people close to him feel that he won't be making his return to the WWE anytime soon.

Russo said that Orton has made enough money as an in-ring competitor and now it's time for him to work in other roles for the company.

The former WCW Champion also suggested that Orton should work as a backstage agent for the WWE and he'll be able to improve the current WWE product massively.

Fans are hoping that Orton will make his return to the company soon as some people expect Orton to appear at the 2023 Royal Rumble match.

It'll be interesting to see what the company will decide to do with Orton following the injury. As he's a legend, the WWE might let him decide what he wants to do in his career moving forward.
