WWE Suffering From Major Budget Cuts - Reports

Vince McMahon has returned to the Executive Board of Directors of WWE. It is rumored that Vince has returned to head the sale of the company.

Stephanie McMahon, the former Chairwoman and Co-CEO of WWE, has resigned with the return of her father Vince as the Executive Chairman of WWE.

As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE has released Senior Vice President of International Matthew Drew in order to cut costs.

It is rumored that companies like Disney, Amazon, and the Saudi Public Investment Fund are interested in buying WWE.

Drew is not the only employee released after the return of Vince McMahon; there are many from the corporate team who have been released from WWE.

Matthew Drew was hired by WWE current Chief Executive Officer Nick Khan in 2021.

Though Triple H being the CCO of WWE has made a record highest grossed Royal Rumble till date, grossing $ 7.7 million just at the gate.

 Dave Meltzer also mentioned,"  ...The belief is that these cuts are being made to lower the costs to get the company ready for a sale. Matthew Drew, who was the Senior Vice President of International, was the biggest name let go.''
