In an interview with the GV wire, Rikishi spoke about the terrible experience that he had as a teenager when he was involved in a drive-by shooting.
He openly said that before making it big in the professional wrestling scene, he used to get involved in things which he wasn't supposed to.
This led to him getting shot one day and he was pronounced dead for almost three minutes by the General Hospital in San Francisco.
He admitted that this incident helped him become a better person and he changed his outlook on life after surviving the horrible tragedy.
Rikishi is one of the most popular superstars in the WWE's attitude era and his segments with the Rock are still remembered by wrestling fans.
The Samoan star belongs to the famous Anoa'i family which has produced several professional wrestling legends like The Rock, Yokozuna etc.
He has three sons: Jimmy, Jey and Solo and all three of them are currently part of the Bloodline stable and are a major part of the WWE alongside their cousin Roman Reigns.
WWE legend and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was seen training a superstar before his big championship match.
