And while his wife Martha has said she will make sure he never gets into the WWE Hall of Fame, it looks like Owen's contributions to pro-wrestling are being celebrated elsewhere.

Because on March 30th 2022, All Elite Wrestling held the first qualifier match for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament!

AEW President Tony Khan revealed this news in September 2021 during an appearance on Busted Open Radio,

16 men & women will participate in their respective Owen Cup Tournament matches, with the finals being slated for AEW Double or Nothing on May 29, 2022.

So far, 6 women have progressed to the quarter-finals, and 5 men, including recent AEW signee Samoa Joe!
