Back in 2010, in the Christmas Day game against the Orlando Magic, Shaquille O'Neal fell into trouble and was only able to play for 12 minutes.

Afterward, he rebuked the referees for the calls they were making. Shaq remarked about referee Bob Delaney: "I guess they come out to see No.26 (Delaney) play. He was a great player out there today."

Shaq further said that he has “probably paid $90 million in federal tax, $20 million in FICA, and $1 million in David Stern [NBA commissioner] tax,” after he came to know about his NBA fine.

Following a defeat of the Boston Celtics against Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics player was fined $35,000 by the NBA for complaining about the officials. When Shaq came to know about it, he became shocked and yelled immediately saying, "They fined me $35,000.... Why!!!" in the locker room.

He further continued, "Kevin, I got fine! Why! $35,000, Kevin, why?!", running after Kevin and hugging him tightly, yelling and pretending to be crying.

He went into a hysterical state and began to playfully roll around on the floor while pretending to be sad about the penalty.

Shaq continued yelling "Why!! Why!!", pulling Paul Pierce’s legs and touching his feet. Paul Pierce jokingly said: "That's what you called a meltdown." Paul Pierce warned him that he would also get fined for the performance.

The fake tears rapidly changed to hysterical laughter and his teammates joined in the joke. Shaq gave a funny response to the fine that he probably anticipated, making everyone laugh, given his entertaining personality.
