On March 4, the Argentina legend, Lionel Messi, scored his 1000th goal for PSG in their Ligue 1 clash vs. Nantes at Parc des Princes. He reached another milestone in his legendary career.

He became the first soccer player to reach this milestone, justifying the GOAT label his fans have tied to his name. This impressive record was attained with a 4-2 victory. Messi must be overjoyed.

Messi has played in 841 games and contributed to 299 goals since making his senior debut in 2003. This is a tremendous accomplishment on the soccer field over the past 20 years.

He is the first player to achieve this in the top five divisions of European football in the contemporary era. Fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that this record won't be broken for a while.

With 912 goal involvements, his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal is second on the list of most goals and assists.

For PSG, he has contributed 35 goals. Messi has continued to conquer the world, from claiming his first-ever World Cup trophy to reaching this new milestone.

In the same game, Kylian Mbappe also changed the course of history by surpassing Edinson Cavani's previous mark for the most goals scored by a PSG player in the team's history.
