WWE founder Vince McMahon had an interesting idea for the WWE's scratch logo back in the attitude era where he suggested using the design of a pair of  b*lls underneath the logo.

WWE back in the late 90s decided to switch to an edgier product which helped them win the rating war against WCW. This era saw some of the most controversial moments in the history of WWE.

Following the change in the nature of the product, the company had to change its logo as the famous scratch logo was introduced to the audience.

Mike Sempervive, talking on the Wrestling Observer Live, revealed that Vince McMahon once decided that he wanted an X-rated rendition of the WWE logo after his product hit a low rating.

“[Vince McMahon] is upset and he’s looking at the block logo and he smashes it in front of everyone and he scribbled on a whiteboard what basically became the scratch logo." (H/t: TJRWrestling)

"Underneath it [McMahon] drew a big set of b*lls and when they actually came to look for ideas about the logo they did have to break it to him no Vince you can’t put the ba**s under the logo" he said.

Vince then went on and did a swirl under the logo which was approved by his peers the company then went ahead with it and it became the iconic scratch logo.

Vince McMahon is currently the Executive Chairman of the Board and he recently made a controversial return to the WWE following multiple sexual misconduct and hush money allegations.
